Rosie Longman
Rosie was called to the Bar in 2002 by Lincoln’s Inn and practised as a Barrister on the London and the South Eastern circuit until moving in-house in 2005. Rosie remained with the practices of Meldrum Young and Meldrums in the Hertford office until she joined Lawtons to work in the Hatfield office, shortly after it opened in 2010.
Rosie is committed to a high standard of client care in the preparation of cases whilst her main role remains as an Advocate in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts.
Rosie has experience in a broad range of cases in the Magistrates’ Court, including the Youth Court. She also undertakes private client work, in particular road traffic offences and domestic violence.
She also appears on a regular basis in the Crown Court, instructed in cases ranging from theft and fraud to drugs and sexual offences, as well as appeals against conviction and sentence.
Rosie has a particular interest and experience in cases where a client has, or is thought to have, a mental health condition.
Rosie is also an accredited Police Station Representative so is able to represent clients at all levels of proceedings. She is a member of the local duty solicitor schemes and the Criminal Bar Association.
